Here we have happy evidence of Delos’ last (but not least) approach to musical celebration of the Holiday season: the time of year that – more than any other – is associated with merry music. What great American orchestra and chorus does not pull out all the stops in their festive annual Christmas extravaganzas? And Delos can offer you prime examples from two major-metro musical scenes: Dallas and San Francisco. If you can’t make it to your own city’s event this year, either (or both) of these two releases will fill the void nicely – and joyfully: Dallas Christmas Gala (DE 3267) and the GRAMMY-nominated Christmas by the Bay (DE 3238). Both are guaranteed to gladden your hearts and get the Christmas spirit going!
Please accept warmest season’s greetings and wishes from all of us here at Delos – and let us help you have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

San Francisco Symphony Chorus
Grammy Nomination, Best Crossover Album
“San Francisco is a city that celebrates life with enthusiasm and abandon, and Christmas in San Francisco is spirited and festive. Skyscrapers are trimmed in countless white lights, creating a unique December skyline; the wharf, the squares, parks, piers, plazas, and malls are decorated with great variety. During the holiday season, thousands gather in Union Square to sing traditional carols with the San Francisco Symphony Chorus and to light Macy’s gigantic Christmas tree. In mid-December, we perform our annual Christmas concerts in Davies Symphony Hall lavish with trees, garlands and wreaths all twinkling with tiny lights. The stage is set. The holiday atmosphere is intoxicating.” Vance George
Dallas Christmas Gala
Dallas Symphony Orchestra and Chorus
No holiday, whether sacred or secular, is more closely associated with music than Christmas. The beloved carols of the season have transcended their religious origins as music has the capacity to draw people of different beliefs and background together, and holiday concerts have always been a popular format for doing so. And who better to celebrate the holiday season with than the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and the 240 member all volunteer Dallas Symphony Chorus. Under the baton of Andrew Litton
